Vanik entered Engineering shortly after Lt. Five of Eight. It had been quite some time since they'd had a chance meeting at the river, but Vanik was pleased to know he'd be working with her today. "Greetings, Lieutenant." He nodded and came over to the console next to hers and took a seat.

"Good morning," Vanik returned, idly checking systems as he noticed the ship was being readied for takeoff by whoever was at the helm. He glanced up at Lieutenant Five and peered curiously at them. "I read the mission briefing," he said. "It seems we will be exploring some place new. I anticipate it will be...interesting." (edited)
